My husband and I are huge ramen and bao bun lovers and have tried it at various places across the Carolinas—especially in Charlotte—but this place wasn't quite what we expected… In terms of flavor, it wasn't our favorite; it felt pretty… Ummm… Standard (?) Nothing impressive for us 😕 in fact, this is the ramen my husband has liked the least since we began our quest to find the best spots serving cuisines we love—Japanese being one of them—almost six years ago. Now, I don't want this to come across as rude, but the language barrier is something to keep in mind; it’s best to stick strictly to the menu without asking for substitutions or changes, as things can get lost in translation. I’m an immigrant myself, so I understand, however, because of this, some things didn't arrive as expected—like extra ingredients (my sister for example asked for a couple of things to be left out of her poke bowl, but they included some anyway) or missing dishes (we ordered an extra bao that never arrived, but in any case, the meat was extremely fatty and chopped into very small pieces and usually, when we order them somewhere else, they come with good slices of meat, and well, we understand that every

My experience here was not so fun. I thought about eating here. But as soon as I walked in there was this incredibly foul smell that made my stomach sick. It just did not make me feel that I should probably eat there.

WOW. I didn’t want to stop eating. Broth is incredibly flavorful. Beef is so tender. I love the option to add extra toppings ( boiled egg is a must!!! ) This is a must try spot in Wilmington that I will 100% be returning to. Thank you for delicious food! 🙏🏼

Amazing restaurant to grab a bowl of poke! I ordered the Alaskan Bowl with marinated salmon and it did not disappoint. The salmon was fresh and flavorful, and there was a decent amount. The price was also reasonable from what I’ve seen of other poke places.

Accurately named this is a no frills, fabulous food spot. There is an extensive menu loaded with so many tempting selections. I had the soup and ramen noodles. On a cold day it was the perfect lunch. My husband had the Surf Poke Bowl that was huge! A filling meal with large pieces of fish and shrimp. Can’t wait to return for another meal here.
